Underexplored Gold Lease Near Mount Magnet, WA

Overview

Underexplored Gold Lease Near Mount Magnet, WA

Available Lease: P59/2505

Price: $14,997

The Boodanoo Project covers approximately 199.9 hectares within the highly prospective Murchison mineral province, approximately 85 kilometres southeast of Mount Magnet and six kilometres southwest of Boodanoo.
This lightly explored lease combines ancient greenstone geology, favourable structural features, exposed bedrock and a section of metagranite that may indicate historical movement of magmatic fluids through the project area.

Key Features

  • Approximately 199.9 hectares
  • Creeks and small river runs though the lease during wet season
  • Located within the renowned Murchison mineral province
  • Positioned in the Youanmi Terrane of the Yilgarn Craton
  • Predominantly underlain by Windimurra Group metagabbro and metaleucogabbro
  • Approximately 350 metres of Mount Kenneth Suite metagranite within the central project area
  • North–south foliation aligned with recognised Yilgarn orogenic gold trends
  • A mapped fold immediately north of the project
  • Nearby structural features that may have acted as pathways or traps for mineralising fluids
  • Gravity and magnetic data supporting the interpreted greenstone geology
  • Approximately 40% exposed bedrock
  • Multiple existing 4WD access tracks
  • No recorded historical workings or drilling directly within the lease

The project is predominantly underlain by ancient Windimurra Group mafic greenstones, a geological setting commonly associated with gold exploration throughout the Yilgarn Craton.

Structural mapping records north–south foliation across the project, corresponding with the broad orientation of recognised orogenic gold systems throughout Western Australia.

A particularly interesting feature is the approximately 350-metre section of Mount Kenneth Suite metagranite in the centre of the lease. The report suggests this may indicate that magmatic fluids historically moved through this part of the project.

The lease also lies immediately south of a mapped fold. Folded and fractured geological zones can provide pathways and trapping points for hydrothermal fluids, making them important early-stage exploration targets.

P59/2505 is situated within a well-endowed mining district near several major gold and base-metal operations, including:

  • The high-grade Penny Gold Mine
  • The historic Mount Magnet gold operations
  • The Deflector gold-copper mine
  • The Golden Grove operation
  • The historic Kirkalocka Gold Mine

Regional exploration has also identified an approximately two-kilometre gold-in-soil target within the broader Boodanoo area, highlighting ongoing exploration interest in the surrounding district.

There are no recorded historical workings, drilling programs or systematic surface-sampling campaigns directly within the project area. This gives the purchaser the opportunity to assess largely untouched ground within an established Western Australian gold province.

The combination of greenstone geology, a metagranite intrusion, favourable structural orientation, nearby folding, exposed bedrock and supportive geophysical trends makes P59/2505 a compelling early-stage gold exploration opportunity.
